The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
